If we want our community to change. We must set the example. This means being upright in what we do.We have to set our morals straight. The world today is filled with moral decay. In all aspects of civil life, there are concerns and problems. You and I may be just a voice in a huge gallery of people. So what, as long as we say what we feel especially in denouncing the evils that plague our society. Then we can make a significant impact in our neighborhood and elsewhere. Change has to come from the heart of a person. The inner side of a man has to be cultivated first, for it to show results. That takes a lot of work, but we can do it.

I'm turning 40 in October and have been reminiscing on some of the same things.....your ideas of celebrating your 50th are fabulous....I can only hope to be close to where you are in your life's journey when I reach 50! I have a pretty large selection of music on the ipod...if you are looking for some...it's all very "diverse"! Lauryn

"Where's all the party people at?" (The Gap Band). I know that's bad grammar, but it's so cool to say. That's why I have it in quotes. So, for you "proper" individuals: "Where are you?" I thought you were like me raring to celebrate your 50th. Then let's do that: talk to me.

Happy birthday to all of us turning the fabulous 50 this year, me being one tomorrow!!
I love the idea of turning "fabulous"! It puts such a positive spin on it & that's the way it should be, we have so much to look forward to, such as finally becoming the person we were always meant to be but afraid to be! It's taken me abit to admit this as I've really questioned this milestone but I do have so much to be thankful for, have been blessed with & so much more waiting for me in this life.
7 of us, best friends since childhood, got together for the "big chill" last Oct for a wkend get away while we had the chance, now, 1 by 1 we are turning 50 this year, mine being tomorrow as i said, 3rd out of the 7!
I decided to celebrate with close friends so invited them all out to dinner, 15 of us, I'm looking forward to it!!
I would guess that many of us probably thought we'd be alot farther ahead by now than we actually are, but then how do you measure that?
I know God, have a beautiful son, soon to be 16, a wonderful relationship with my man of 3 years, good health, close family, dear friends & a good job, that's a pretty good start right?!
Words of wisdom & advice are always welcome.
Happy Fab 50 to all of us!
Debi

I love being 50 plus! I am thankful for the lessons only life's experiences can teach. Life is truly a journey and I look forward to learning more about myself.
